The two-piece CHAMPIONS (R)Evolution ® implant

Made of titanium grade 4 (KV)...
...set new standards in implantology when it appeared in 2011, because for the first time it was possible to insert two-piece implants in a minimally invasive manner. The shuttle, which is not only an insertion tool, but also has three other functions, had a major influence on this. It is a two-piece, endosseous, rotationally symmetrical implant made of titanium grade 4 (KV). It comes with a factory pre-assembled shuttle and retaining screw for minimally invasive insertion. It can be used in all bone qualities of the upper and lower jaw (D1-D4) with and without augmentation. The shuttle, factory-mounted on the CHAMPIONS (R)Evolution ®, turns a two-part implant into an implant that can be inserted using "MIMI" minimally invasive method of implantation protocol. The MIMI®-protocol simplifies processes for the whole dental team. This technique has been growing in acceptance and importance for patients, due to the fact that it causes hardly any bleeding and it is performed without incisions, mucoperiosteal flap reflection, and without sutures. Thanks to the minimally invasive method of implantation, overall costs for high-quality implant-supported prosthodontic restorations are reduced by up to 50%, making it affordable for more patients but without reducing dentists’ margins.
