A novel management option for patients who are difficult to treat: discover Prevora at Dentistry Show London, Stand H50

Why Prevora
There is a substantial population for whom good oral hygiene alone is not enough and are currently left with poor oral health.
Prevora is a new management option in the UK, based on chlorhexidine — an antibacterial agent familiar to all dental professionals. It is a professionally applied coating containing a high concentration of chlorhexidine (10%) that, in a simple procedure, binds to the tooth surface to create a slow-release antibacterial reservoir. This provides long-lasting protection not achievable with short-contact mouthwashes, without the staining often linked to other chlorhexidine treatments. It is used to reset the oral biofilm so that it becomes health-promoting.
With more than 20 years of clinical studies and real-world use outside of the UK, Prevora offers dental professionals a new tool to support a currently underserved population and help manage those who are difficult to treat.
Prevora is particularly suitable for adults with:
- a history of caries or bleeding gums
- oral dryness
- suboptimally controlled diabetes
- dental implants or undergoing pre-implant procedures
- challenges with maintaining oral hygiene routines
- domiciliary care residency or complex needs.
Benefits for practices:
- extends prevention where traditional dentistry struggles most
- supports minimally invasive care while improving patient outcomes
- increases the value of hygiene services through enhanced preventive care.
Why Prevolution Health?
Prevolution Health was founded on a shared belief that high-risk patients deserve a new solution for their oral disease. Its mission is to empower the whole dental team and help patients lead healthier, happier lives.
One of the company founders, Dr Ben Atkins, commented: ‘For years I wished I could brush my patients’ teeth for them. With some groups, no matter how often we reinforce oral hygiene advice, they continue to struggle. Prevora is the closest thing to being able to brush for them every day; it finally gives us a way to intervene differently.’
