Dr Raid Ali is one of the three principals of Restore Dental Group and has been an integral part of the business for over 11 years, serving as a principal for nearly 8 of those. His leadership and commitment have been instrumental in the group’s continued growth and reputation for excellence in patient care. Dr Ali graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Baghdad, Iraq in 1996. After relocating to the UK, he completed the International Qualifying Exam (IQE) in 2006 to begin practising dentistry in the UK. Committed to lifelong learning, he went on to gain Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS RCS Edinburgh) in 2010 and later completed a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) from Cardiff University. His clinical interests are broad, but his true passion lies in implant dentistry, and he is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Implantology to expand his expertise. Dr Ali is also a certified Invisalign provider and offers full smile makeover treatments across both the Cardiff and Ponthir practices. In addition to his clinical and leadership roles, Dr Ali proudly serves as the Regional Representative for Wales, where he supports the wider dental profession and contributes to regional development and representation. Outside of dentistry, Dr Ali is a devoted husband and father to four children—three daughters and a son. Family life is busy and fulfilling, and he often jokes about being outnumbered by the girls in his household. He is also active in charitable work, regularly participating in fundraising events and volunteering at refugee camps, including in Calais, often with the support of his colleagues. Dr Ali is passionate about delivering exceptional care to his patients and finds great joy in helping others regain their confidence through dentistry. For him, dentistry is more than just a profession—it’s a calling that brings purpose and satisfaction every day.
