Kaushik is the Clinical Director for the Northwest and Central region for MyDentist, the largest Body corporate In the UK with over 500 sites across the UK. His background is in general dental practice being based primarily within the Midland area since 2005 when he passed his IQE exam after graduating from India in 2003. Previous to his role as clinical director , he was an associate dentist in general practice for the past 14years and has been a Foundation Dentist Trainer in General Practice. He also worked as a Tier 2 Oral surgery Provider in primary care. He also works part time at the Birmingham Dental Hospital as Speciality Dentist in Oral Surgery and is a Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the School of Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham since 2008 . He has completed several post graduate qualifications in sedation and oral surgery and holds the membership of both the Royal colleges of England and Edinburgh. Most recently he was awarded the Fellowship of the College of General Dentistry(FCGDENT).He is also a Fellow of the Higher education Academy having undertaken a PG Certificate in Education. Kaushik is actively involved in teaching ,assessments ,career planning and supporting undergraduate teaching and recruitment within the Dental school and in the training of DF1, DCT and other Dental and DCP colleagues especially in oral surgery within the region. He has been the Divisional MJDF tutor for the West Midland division of the FGDP and is now on the Advisory Board for the MFDS examination with the RCS Edinburgh . He is also the deputy lead examiner for the OSCE component of the ORE exam. He is currently involved in shaping the delivery of local dental services in the Northwest of England and ensuring High standards of Clinical practice and champions the welfare of patients and the dental workforce . He oversees the day to day functioning of over 150 dental practices and works collaboratively with several LATs and is a representative on several MCNs and LPNs. He is also closely involved in mentoring of dental professionals both within MyDentist and the wider dental community.
