Meeral attained her BDS with honours at Queen Mary University of London, before going on to gain Membership at the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Edinburgh. She achieved the top grade and a distinction for her MSc in Primary Dental Care at the University of Kent, before completing a diploma in Dental Education at the University of Bedfordshire. She completed her specialist training and an MClin(Dent) in Orthodontics at Royal Derby Hospital and the University of Sheffield. She obtained her MOrth at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and is nearing the end of her Post-CCST consultant training, while also working in specialist practice.
