UK health technology startup Conversico has announced the launch of Greeta, an AI-powered dental receptionist designed to answer missed, overflow and out-of-hours calls, book appointments directly into practice management systems (PMS), and provide reception teams with clear next steps for every patient interaction.
Greeta is the first product released by Conversico, a UK-based voice operating system for dental practices. The company is building an AI-powered communications operating system that combines an intelligent patient-facing receptionist with tools to improve communication within dental practices.
Every year, dental practices lose new patient enquiries and spend valuable staff time managing busy phone lines, particularly during peak clinic hours, lunch breaks and after-hours periods. Greeta has been developed to ensure every patient receives a prompt, professional response while reducing pressure on reception teams.
Unlike generic AI call-answering solutions, Greeta has been built specifically for dentistry. The company was founded entirely by clinicians and AI experts with first-hand experience of the challenges faced by modern practices. The founding team includes Dr Ahmed Omran, an NHS and private orthodontist, Dr Sheliza Darvesh an NHS and private GP, and Dr Peter Strain an AI engineer whose Oxford doctorate focused on machine learning. Together, they built Greeta after experiencing the impact of missed patient calls and overloaded reception teams and the challenges of communication within busy clinical practices.
