I am currently working as a dental nurse for The Oxford Health Service. I hold the sedation qualification, an NEBDN special care certificate, and an oral health promotion NEBDN certificate. I was the first learning disability dental nurse in the country, where I supported complex pathways, created easy-to-read leaflets, created social stories, and carried out training. I am now developing further at university, studying to specialise and obtain the learning disability nursing qualification. I aim to raise awareness of simple, reasonable adjustments the dental team can make to support patients with learning disabilities access the service better.
