Dr Emily Lu is a Consultant in Periodontology at Guy's Hospital and Clinical Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, King’s College London. She completed her specialist training in Periodontology, culminating in a Masters in Clinical Dentistry from King’s College London and Membership in Periodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. She continued her passion for academia and was awarded a PhD in Periodontology from King’s College London. Dr Lu’s research expertise span discovery, translational and clinical sciences. Her lab is investigating the role of vitamin D in innate immunity and epithelial defence.
