Dr Emily Lu is a Consultant in Periodontology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and Senior Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London. She combines specialist clinical practice with an active research programme spanning regenerative therapies, oral-systemic health, host–microbe interactions and periodontal disease. Emily has published extensively on platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), periodontal regeneration and novel approaches to managing complex periodontal defects. She leads the multidisciplinary Endo-Perio service at Guy’s Hospital and has a particular clinical interest in alveolar ridge preservation and reconstruction using PRF. Emily is an examiner for the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh and regularly lectures nationally and internationally.
