Fiona began her dental career in 1990 and qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist by 1999. She holds an MSc in Medical Education and a Doctorate in Health Service Research. Fiona works in NHS practice and leads dental education across North Wales for HEIW. A former President of the British Association of Dental Therapists, she played a pivotal role in advancing Exemptions legislation. Her clinical and academic work spans hospital, community, and university settings. Fiona is a Fellow of the FGDP and RCSEd, sits on multiple advisory boards, and was awarded an MBE in 2025 for services to dental therapy.
