James is a barrister specialising in employment law and dental contracts, and an accredited mediator. Qualified since 1994, he has worked across the retail, recruitment and public sectors before joining the BDA in 2007. He advises dentists on employment and commercial matters, has represented cases in employment tribunals, including those concerning associate status, and regularly lectures on legal issues affecting the dental profession
