James Hyde is Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry and Programme Lead for Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy at Cardiff Dental School. He obtained his BDS (2012) from the University of Liverpool and initially worked in primary care as an associated dentist. During this time he passed his membership exams with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and completed his Bachelor of Laws (2017) from the Open University. In 2020 he was appointed as an Academic Clinical Fellow Dental Core Trainee. In 2021 he was made a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
