Karen is a Patient Liaison Officer and Patient Ambassador for the Mouth Cancer Foundation, after going through her own journey with tongue cancer and radiotherapy 10 years ago. Karen devotes her time to supporting patients and caregivers through each stage of their head and neck cancer pathway, which is also supported by many dedicated dental professionals through the charity. Karen is also a published author of My Silver Linings, which was written to support others on the pathway, giving voices to other patients, signpost to support, and further educate professionals and students thanks to other patient and professional chapters.
