Professor Peter Fine is professor of dental education. Following 40 years as a GDP he joined the staff at the Eastman, teaching part-time on the Restorative Dental Practice course progressing to programme Director. He is also Director of Sports Dentistry at UCL Eastman and was instrumental in developing the MSc programme in Sports Dentistry. He has had experience of treating many athletes for pitch-side trauma whilst working at major sporting events. His current research interests include, designing mouthguards through intra-oral scanning, oral health and athletic performance, the use of artificial intelligence in dental student assessment and feedback to dental students.
